Ok, that was the press release version of who I am keep reading for the unscripted one.
I grew up in a small town in Northern Alabama, no need to name it I’m sure you never heard of it. I was raised by a Pastor and a Prophetess (even though she was WAY ahead of her time) My mother taught me that being anointed was more than a gift, it was a responsibility. I would say as a teenager “who wants all that pressure”
Over the course of my life I have always maintained a connection to God- sometimes my actions said otherwise. I would usually fall off when I stopped being DeShannon and started being someone else.
I remember on night at a college party- I felt SO uncomfortable. I wanted to leave so bad but stayed because of my friends. They all seemed to be having a great time. I prayed the whole night “Jesus please don’t come while I am in the club” its funny now; not so much back then.
Many people search their entire life for their “gift” from God. I have known mine for a long time. I am a natural talker, I retain information well, and I have zero fear when it comes to climbing life’s biggest mountains. I am the little engine who believes.
In August 2014, I decided to throw caution to the wind and start my own consulting company. I wanted to “talk” and write for a living (whatever that means) and that’s what God has allowed me to do.
Your post are thought provoking and wonderful, it is a great work!!! keep up the good you do to bring smile on the face of others….

Thank you, you are very inspiring!
Out of curiosity, where did you get your education? And, if you’re comfortable posting it, where are you currently a CEO?
Have you considered doing talks about time management too? You’re clearly adept at it — that could be an interesting niche to explore!
I look forward to continuing to follow your blog.
God bless and Merry Christmas

Hello! Glad you took the time to read something I wrote. I should update my bio. I was a Healthcare CEO up until a few months ago. I now persue my passion of writing, speaking and empowering people. If you get an opportunity click on a few different categories. I take the same approach in business and in life. Blessings!!

Just checking to see if I had perhaps attended one of your conferences, 🙂 You did look familiar too and we have moved so many places in the military, golf industry and now as a pastor, our paths might have crossed. Stranger things have happened and there is no coincidence with God. Have a lovely Christmas!

Hi, just wanted to tell how much of a blessing it was to meet you on yesterday. Even though it was a short conversation, you really touched on so many things that I am currently going through. Just a few to name, I lost my job on July 1st after 11years and 11 months, struggling to find a different place to worship, and the list goes on and on. I’ve been going through you daily devotions and they been so inspiring!! Again thank you for sharing!!

I must say that I am not at all surprised you ended up in this career. You were always great with speaking to and teaching people. I for one can attest to that personally. Glad to see you are doing well and following your passion. Ms. Bynum, that beautiful soul, taught you well. I wish you nothing but success.
