On that day
Time stood still-
we were no longer Black/White-Rich/Poor but American. We banned together because we loved our country. We Americans forgot for a brief moment not to hate someone we don’t know, or to kill someone whether guilty or innocent. We loved on each other. We supported each other. We for a brief moment were simply Americans.

Why do we choose to commemorate certain tragic events so we DONT Forget, but want other events to be erased from our memory?

Or maybe it depends on the ONE COMMITTING the offense.

Will we ever be Americans everyday, with freedom and justice for all.
Or will it take another tragedy to REMEMBER.
