Job 4:8New International Version (NIV)

8 As I have observed, those who plow evil
and those who sow trouble reap it.

I had a conversation with a lady about reaping and sowing. And I made a comment that “oh, it will come back on them” she paused and said ” I don’t believe that anymore”
(Background) there were some people who had purposed to make her life a living hell and it seemed to her that NOTHING was happing to them, she couldn’t see them reaping any of their harvest.

She was watching the wrong crop.

Her eyes were fixed on seeing their destruction, their demise- her hope was to witness them reap.

The scripture should be all the hope we need. We don’t have to witness it to believe it. Our eyes should be on our own crop. What have we sown that will come back for us to reap.

Have we wasted emotions waiting for something to happen to somebody? Have we gotten tired of waiting on their destruction, for God to do something to them on our behalf? Have we quoted more scriptures about vindication than mercy. Has our prayers been “payback prayers”

Why do you have to know how God is handling other people, even the ones who are sowing evil seeds? The word repeatedly tells us everyone has to pick what they plant, including you.

I want us to get our eyes off Mr. Charlie’s field and concentrate on planting seeds that even our children’s children can harvest.
