Psalm 69:1New Living Translation (NLT)

1 Save me, O God,
for the floodwaters are up to my neck.

IMG_0998.PNG

many of us have been in a body of water that starts to quickly go from fun to terrifying …when the water start to rise.

When trouble only comes up to our ankles, we don’t give it a second thought. You know exactly how to get back to safety.
Even waist high trouble doesn’t make you freak out.

Oh but when the water rises it causes some of us to panic.

We are crying out to The Lord and he seems to be keeping silent. The water is rising, its getting hard to remain calm and see the goodness of The Lord.

We need saving.
We can no longer handle this on our own, we need to be rescued.

This is your sink or swim moment. This is when you have to recall all the other times he has rescued you, even the times that you thought you didn’t need him and you rescued yourself.
This is when all your trouble training becomes important.
This is when you need to remind God of his words ( you will never leave me or forsake me)
This is when you have to know God will not let you drown.

You are drowning in your emotions, they are overtaking you. You are trying to rely on tactics you used in ankle deep water. This is causing you to panic.

Cry out to God, let him know you cant do anything without him. He will save you. How do I know, because he has saved me.
