How many of us pray generic prayers?

You know the ones without any real direction I like to call them blanket prayers.

The scripture above says to come BOLDLY when we pray. Why aren’t we comfortable doing this? Now for you Super Saints that have perfected prayer, this isn’t for you. Stop reading now before you become bothered and offended. But for the rest of us, why is it hard to ask God for EXACTLY what it is that we desire?

I called for a day of prayer from my fb friends and I got a lot of details. I think this is important in requesting HELP from God. Sure, God knows our heart, and he knows what we need, so one could argue that details aren’t necessary.

For me I have found that when I pray this way

Lord, I need _____________ so that I can ___________ it adds purpose to my prayer.
