Matthew 17:20 New Living Translation (NLT)

20 “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible

We have heard about having faith the size of a mustard seed. When you see (with your own eyes) the actual size of the seed you’re almost confused. Surely, I have that much faith; don’t I?

I mean come on, a mustard seed is so tiny.

Then again, is it? If all we need is a little bit then why can’t we muster up the faith that can move mountains?

There are days when I have more faith than others. There are things that I am fearless about and other things that seems to take a moment before faith takes hold.

I carried around a mustard seed to remind myself that all it takes is a little faith to obtain whatever I needed from God. Somewhere along the day I had lost the seed. I searched my pocket over and over I never found it. I had lost my faith.

This showed me how easy it is to lose faith. It must be protected, checked on, cultivated, and guarded with the highest priority. It can never be left unattended. It has to be nourished.

I opened my Mom’s bible and discovered she had 2 mustard seeds taped to a scripture in her bible. I pondered this for a minute and drew my own conclusion. Mom knew if she put her faith in the Word, then the Word of God will never fail HER!

My aha moment!

Everyone is given a measure of faith, where you put it its up to you. You can do whatever you want with it…

Just don’t lose it.
