Ephesians 6:10King James Version (KJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Yesterday in between all the plates of food and football was a arm wrestling tournament.
My father, a man born and raised on a 100 acre farm in Alabama, drove up to SC where we were celebrating the holidays

He enjoys sitting around with my brother, brother in law, and husband talking about everything from A to Z. He loves to talk, maybe I get that part of me from him…

For some reason my nephew decides to arm wrestle his pawpaw.
Now my dad will be 70 his birthday.

This should be a easy win for a 16 year old, 6 foot, 190 lbs football player.
My nephew lost.
His reinforcement comes, my son, also a football player, a little taller at 6’3 a little older at 17, but 20lbs lighter
My son lost

How could a old man KEEP beating these kids in armwrestling?

Country Strength!

My dad has worked many years on the farm of life building up his strength.
He has toiled long days and night, fighting through rough winters and little rain. He knows where his help comes from, even during the roughest of seasons
He has reaped and sown, planted and harvested, weeped and rejoiced; he has the strength to fight

As we go through different circumstances in our life we get stronger, smarter, wiser, more compassionate, and more confident.
Our inner strength may not be visible to others but on the inside we have a S on our chest.
We are then able to “whoop the snot” out of situations that looks to be a guaranteed lost.

My son and nephew were looking at their grandfather from their own eyes and what they perceived him to be-old and weak

Looks can be deceiving.

God looks at the heart and strengthens you in situations that without him you are guaranteed to loose.
Someone may be looking at you as a easy win but I remind you

In God you have strength that will amaze!
In God you have strength that will sustain
In God you have the strength to win!
