Psalms 84:11 NLT says
For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

God knows exactly what we need and if it’s good for us we can have it.

Problem is we are too busy holding on to things that are simply NO GOOD.

We want to tell God whats best for us, whether it be in a relationship, friends, or jobs.
We want what we want, and when God tells us NO, we are offended! Often questioning ” did I hear that right” ” If I prayed about it, doesn’t God answer our prayer?!

We make all kinds of excuses as to why things just don’t work out. It usually has blame involved. We love to blame any and everybody for a downfall.

Pump your brakes a minute! Could the “it didn’t work out” just be that it wasn’t NO GOOD!

Begin to think back at your disappointments and what you initially thought was a failure, but if we believe God’s word is true then we can REJOICE in knowing THE LORD WILL WITHHOLD NO GOOD THING FROM YOU!!!

Its a blow to our EGO to come to grips with the fact that we can’t make our own best decisions. We need God’s help. If we simply ask God “is this a good thing for me” before we do anything, we wouldn’t have as many dissapointmnts.

Prayer
Father, I am reminded of the scripture that says “If it’s good for me I can have it” help me NOT to want anything that isn’t GOOD. AMEN
