Friends
There was a popular song in the 80’s that went something like this
Friends; how many of us have them, friends; ones you can depend on.

The scripture above lets us know we NEED at least 1 friend.
They encourage us to succeed. They cheer us on, they are our prayer partners, our secret tellers, our “let’s go to lunch” partners. Our friend for life.
If we fall, that is to say have a situation and need help, we have someone we can go to.
They keep us from overreacting, they remind us to pray, and to remember God’s promises. They keep us from “loosing control” They can help us sort out confusion, or come up with a great idea.

The second sentence in the scripture says if you need help and have no one to go to- that’s when you are in trouble.
Without at least 1 friend who will help you when you have lapses in judgement, need support, or prayer.

Friends should provide SPF for you.
Just like SPF in sunscreen “covers” you and keeps you from getting burned.
Friends should provide the same.
S=Spiritual
P=Personal
F=Financial

I don’t have many friends, but I do have a few that I can go to for “coverage”
This kind of coverage cheers me on with new ventures, prayers with me, encourages me, reminds me of God’s goodness, and would write a check for me if I needed it.

Do you have someone that you call a friend?
