Psalm 55:22Living Bible (TLB)

22 Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them.

The cares of life can get heavy. Are if you trying to carry them yourself?

The scriptures tells us to let God carry them for us, but we often hold on to them for so long until our knees buckle.

This perceived strength that we have endowed ourselves with is a falsehood that needs to be done away with. I don’t know about you but I am NOT that strong, I can’t carry the weight of my actions or decisions. I need God to carry my junk.

As I watched my daughter enter school this morning I saw a lot of children struggling with “stuff”. Some had projects that were awkward to handle, others had book bags that were over stuffed, some had book bags and lunch boxes, all had something other than themselves. Some kids had parents carrying the extra “stuff” allowing the kids to skip happily into the school.

That’s when it hit me.

Everybody had something that they were carrying.

The happiest, carefree children had HELP. They knew they couldn’t carry ALL the stuff themselves, they had someone else carry the really HEAVY stuff. They still HAD many of the same things the other kids had BUT they were able to walk carefree down the sidewalk into their destination.

We are all walking to our own destinations. We can either struggle, drag, or break down trying to carry our “stuff” or we can allow someone bigger, stronger and greater than ourselves carry it for us.
