Judges 13:11-13New Living Translation (NLT)

11 Manoah ran back with his wife and asked, “Are you the man who spoke to my wife the other day?”

“Yes,” he replied, “I am.”

12 So Manoah asked him, “When your words come true, what kind of rules should govern the boy’s life and work?”

13 The angel of the Lord replied, “Be sure your wife follows the instructions I gave her.

This scripture is taken from the story of Samson. Here we find the Angel of the Lord has come to Samson’s mother to let her know although she was previously unable to have children she is to have a son. He gives her specific instructions on what to do and not to do.

But she needed a co signer. She went to her husband who wasn’t with her during this encounter, tells him about it and he now has additional questions for the Angel.

The Angel’s answer is epic. In other words the Angel lets her husband know ” I have already given your wife the information she needs”

How often does God give us an idea or directives and we immediately seek the opinion or advice of someone else? Why do we always need confirmation? Could it be that we wouldn’t trust ourselves and can’t imagine God trusting us with such important matters? Or do we not believe we are worthy of his direct communication?

Either way, I am here to let you know that YOU DO NOT NEED A CO SIGNER

He has given you instructions because he knows you can handle the task. You are the one he has decided will do this and what someone else thinks about it is irrelevant.

Stop always asking for an additional sign, stop calling people to get their opinion, stop waiting to see if it was all in your mind.

HE spoke, you heard, now get up and do!
