7 And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.

I wanted you to read it because this is part 2.

Today I noticed several daffodils had made their way up from the ground and opened. They had all “made it” through the winter weather and survived a snow storm. They all can celebrate the victory.

Sometimes in life we need to SEE an example of what is possible. Just 2 days ago there was only 1 open daffodil. 1 lone flower. 1 who dared to try to make it. Once it opened, no doubt that was all the encouragement the others flowers needed to break free from the dirt that covered them and begin to rise towards their greatness as well.

I like to encourage. I like to talk about my trials and my “winters” and show people that “spring” is coming. Some people have said that I’m bragging, and they are correct. I will continue to tell what MY GOD has done for me. If he did it for me, he can do it for you.

The daffodil may have looked like he was bragging too. Standing up tall showing off his pretty colors while the rest of the flowers shrunk back in fear. It’s lonely being the first, but soon your confidence in Christ will encourage others to keep fighting, keep digging, keep growing and soon we will be able to celebrate together.

You see, the daffodil needs the others to follow him, he can’t achieve greatness alone. Who wants 1 single flower. He needs the rest of them to make a bouquet.

There are still a few “non believers” a few unopened flowers, but as they see the example set before them they too will share in their own victory.
