Luke 7:41-42New Living Translation (NLT)

41 Then Jesus told him this story: “A man loaned money to two people—500 pieces of silver to one and 50 pieces to the other. 42 But neither of them could repay him, so he kindly forgave them both, canceling their debts. Who do you suppose loved him more after that?”

Many of us have accumulated debt. We often think of credit cards, cars and houses.

For a lot of us, we need debt relief. If we could just pay off 1 thing it will lighten the load for us.

For me, it’s easy to pull out a credit card and worry about the payment later.

What about the debt of your actions? Do you have enough to repay that?

This scriptures demonstrates that the banker forgives both BIG and SMALL debt. And so it is with our heavenly Father. He forgives our debt of sin, in which the banker is satan. He cancels our debt so we don’t have to pay satan back for the pleasure of our sins. Truthfully the interest satan charges is WAY TOO HIGH!

Aren’t you glad that we can be forgiven no matter how large a debt we have accumulated?

God is ready to forgive your debt, you just have to admit you can’t repay it.
