Ezekiel 2:7 New International Version (NIV)

7 You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, (a)

listening

Ezekiel is one of my favorite books in the bible. His retelling of the splendor of God’s glory is simply amazing. But it’s what God tells him that caught my interest.

Often we are given an assignment to go and “tell somebody something”

We can question ourselves and even question God on if we are “hearing” correctly. We don’t want the recipient of the news to “feel some type of way” if our news isn’t about prosperity. We are quick to give a word of encouragement, however a corrective word is seldom received well.

The scripture is clear. Whether they listen or not you have to tell it.

When God asks you if you told them what I said, and you give any answer other than yes; not only have you failed the assignment. You have failed the person to whom the message was for.
