Philippians 4:12 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

12 I know how to live when I am poor and when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of how to live through any kind of situation—when I have enough to eat or when I am hungry, when I have everything I need or when I have nothing.

Many of us know verse 13

We can quote it by heart ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” How is it we know verse 13 and omit verse 12.

When you put them together that’s when the message becomes clear.

In every situation God is our strength. Not just when things are going what we consider well.

Think about this; as poor as you may feel is still richer than somebody.

Have we learned how to live? Have we learned that trouble don’t last always? Have we considered our suffering is for just a little while? Have we forgotten that even though we may be walking through the valley, God is still good?

This scripture is giving me life this morning.

I am learning how to live. I am learning that no matter the circumstance I still have the strength to make it. Just knowing God is my strength makes every situation good.
