Mark 5:39-40 New International Version (NIV)
39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” 40 But they laughed at him.(a)
In the scripture above Jesus is brought to Jairus’s house because it appeared that his young daughter has died. When Jesus enters the house he is surrounded by family and friends crying. He then declares “the child is not dead, but asleep” they laugh.
Jesus met all kinds of people who assumed he was crazy. They often laughed at the things he said.
Do people think you are crazy by speaking those things you don’t yet see. By dreaming big and declaring they will happen? Have you let their unbelief make you doubt your destiny.
I announced one day that I was going to be a _______________. The people around me scoffed and chuckled. They couldn’t fathom the idea that I COULD BE what I said I WOULD be.
I understand the power behind words and unwavering faith. I understand that I can ask for ANYTHING in Jesus name. I understand that my faith and confessions are what brings the seemingly impossible to pass. I understand my circumstance looks dead to you but in reality they are just sleep waiting to be awaken by the POWER of Crazy Talk.
The WORD says that I can have what I believe I can have. It made no mention that the people you are surrounded by had to believe with or for you.
To the doubter, yes I am talking crazy, go ahead and laugh. But for me, I believe I can bring dead situations back to life with words. Crazy, right?
Amen
