10 Then, when Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his wealth and happiness! In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!

I don’t know about you, but double would be awesome!

I learned a long time ago that you can’t lose anything that rightful belongs to you. With that being said, think for a moment on the things that you lost.

Have they been restored? Or where they never meant to be yours?

In the case of Job, everything he lost rightfully belonged to him. He had lost them from no fault of his own. His friends tried to convince him that he had sinned and caused this great trouble to come on him. They even “encouraged” him to question God.

Job understood one thing. The Lord is the one who GIVES! And it was only after he had done something for someone else that he received. He prayed! He prayed for his friends.

Are you and your “friends” sitting around trying to figure out what you should, would, or could do. Are they scrutinizing your “past”. Are they helping you or hindering you? They should be praying with and for you.

Sometimes it’s hard to pray for people when you are going through. However, I have found the scripture to be true in my own life. When I take my mind off my own troubles and seek God on behalf of someone else I always receive MORE than I need, more than I had.

Try it.

Today no matter what YOU need go to GOD for the needs of friends and watch God double it for you.
