Luke 12:11-12 Good News Translation (GNT)

11 “When they bring you to be tried in the synagogues or before governors or rulers, do not be worried about how you will defend yourself or what you will say. 12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

As a general rule we are taught to prepare for everything. Many of us can be caught rehearsing exactly what we are going to say in response to imaginary questions we have formed in our heads. When the time comes (whenever it is) we will be ready.

Have you ever replayed a conversation and thought to yourself ” I wish I would’ve said THIS!” We can find ourselves in a constant state of would’ve, should’ve, and could’ve.

The scripture teaches us that the Holy Spirit will give you the words to say in difficult situations, we only have to be open to his prompting.

The holy spirit is NOT leading you to “tell someone off” or to degrade and humiliate anyone.  That’s the OTHER spirit, the non holy one.

A popular scripture most people know is : No weapon formed against you will prosper

BUT I like the second part of the verse : and every tongue that rises against you, you will prove to be in the wrong (the DeShannon version)

Isaiah 54:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

This is our inheritance, this is our right. They can come for you, but it won’t work. I don’t have to rehearse, I will defeat you with the truth, when the time comes.
